Air New Zealand Old vs New Livery

As part of the 2013 rebranding of Air New Zealand, the old teal and blue livery was replaced with a distinctive New Zealand fern. On the Left Hand Side of the comparison is Air New Zealand's old livery (prior to 2013), and on the Right Hand Side is Air New Zealand's new livery (after 2013). Strong westerly winds forced aircraft movements onto Runway 25, with Runway 16L/34R visible in the background of the comparison.

Changes Between these Liveries:
  • 'Air New Zealand' writing changed from blue to black in colour, and to the new typeface.
  • New black and white New Zealand fern wrapping from the tail down and around the rear fuselage.
  • Blue ribbon wrapping around the fuselage removed from the front cabin.
  • Aircraft model 'Boeing 777-200ER' removed from under the rear windows.
