Foreshore Road
| Location | Foreshore Road runs off to the south from General Holmes Drive to Port Botany. |
| View | At this location you are looking west towards Runway 16L/34R or directly along Runway 16L. |
| Equipment | There is a perimeter fence running along the western side of Foreshore Road and a three or five step ladder is required to photograph on the runway. Departing aircraft climbing out from the runway can be photographed without the aid of a ladder. |
| Photography | Best in the morning, particularly early morning if you are photographing directly under the flightpath for aircraft departing on Runway 34R. |

This is the intersection at the start of Foreshore Road, General
Holmes Drive is just to the left. The road running to the
lower right is the access to to the Fire Station and Radar Field. You can park
on the first section of the Fire Station road
and climb a small grass hill that is looking directlty down Runway 16L.

Foreshore Road below has a perimeter fence running the full
length and you will need a ladder to photograph aircraft on the
ground. The trailers parked on the side of the road are from the Port Botany
container facility. This road is now no parking
and no U Turn from General Holmes Drive to The Port Botany container terminal
except for one or two marked areas
with access to the shoreline. This can be a busy road so be careful.

This is the perimeter fence and canal running parallel to Runway 16L/34R. At this location the runway is quite close.

This shot shows the perimeter fence and canal that runs between Foreshore Road and Runway 16L/34R.

Sunday 26th October 2008 - They are currently building what
looks like a couple of parking areas looking directly over the water to
Runway 16L / 34R. There are absolutely no obstructions and you are relatively
close to the action. Here Qantas Boeing 767-300
