Barton Park
| Location | This location is on the opposite side of the Cooks River to the Runway 07 threshold. Access is off West Botany Street between the Spring Street and Terry Street intersections. Follow the roadway right to the carpark at the end, overlooking the airport. You can then walk about 50 metres towards the airport and to the left, to a small grass hill. Unfortunately this area now also looks like a construction zone or storage area, and access to the hill in front of the car park is no longer available. |
| View | At this location you are looking south towards the flightpath of Runway 07/25 and have a good view of the western arm of the International T1 Terminal area. |

| Photography | Excellent at any time of day with good views of arriving aircraft on short final for Runway 07 and departures climbing out from Runway 25. |

Sunday 26th October 2008 - This is the site you are confronted
with as you enter the last car park that leads to the hill for shoot Runway
07 arrivals. I had a look at the football field on the left of the car park
and it does not look like ytou can access the hill this way either.
Looking towards the car park from the small grass hill. This is a somewhat remote location.
The reverse angle looking at the small grass hill from the car park. The view from the top of this hill is excellent.
Looking towards the control tower and the four International
stand off bays. United, Singapore, Thai and Virgin Atlantic are
commonly seen here during the day.
